A New Year and a New Cookbook

Every Christmas I get a new cookbook from my hubby which I'm sure he thinks will entice me to cook more interesting meals.  I'm really good at reading the cookbooks, not so good at making the actual recipes.  So like all years in the past I say this year will be different and I will try lots of new recipes.  I started out with  one that has black eye peas, as they are suppose to bring you good luck for the new year and who can't use a little bit of good luck.  This recipe is really easy and is a southern spin on wedding soup by John Besh.  Hurry...it's not too late to eat your black eye peas.
