Peony For A Queen
Watching a peony plant reappear each year is cheap entertainment for me. My plant popped it's head out of the ground a couple of days before the first official day of spring, which was March 20th. So I anxiously watched it grow and then produce it's first bud only to go out of town last weekend and come back to find that I missed it's first day of blooming. So instead of looking at a nice and perky peony; I had a mature, almost past it's prime peony. Well all I can say is I hope that my plant has a few more buds in it and now I understand why they are so expensive.
Those are gorgeous Pam!
